PRODUCTION AND SALE OF TAGGIASCA EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL AND TAGGIASCA OLIVES IN BRINE
Le Langhe dell'olio
Perhaps not the very first… but certainly one of the first and rare local olive oil producers run by a woman (with the essential help of Adriano, of course…). Cristina Armato’s sensitivity, grace, and enthusiasm seem to be infused into her way of ‘making’ olive oil, giving it a sense of pleasant lightness, accompanied by the ancient, natural taste of tradition.
Deep Roots
Respect for Tradition
Technological Innovation
The farm has very ancient and deep roots, much like the Taggiasca olive trees we have been cultivating for five generations—1,500 trees scattered across the Lucinasco area. Our story begins in 1870 with the Devia family and continues today with Cristina and Adriano, following the stewardship of Cristina’s parents, Silvana and Silvano. We produce extra virgin olive oil, pressed at our own mill, which we purchased in 2018. This two-phase mill allows us to recover the olive pits for heating, while some are spread across the land as fertiliser. As true Ligurians, we waste nothing! The knife crusher preserves an explosion of aromas in our wonderful oil.
We produce and sell Taggiasca single-cultivar extra virgin olive oil, renowned for its delicate fragrance and unique fruity flavour. Our Taggiasca olives in brine are hand-selected and prepared according to ancient Ligurian traditions, ensuring an authentic product rich in history. The Taggiasca EVO oil we produce comes from handpicked olives, cold-pressed to deliver a healthy dressing packed with nutritional benefits. “C&C+C” The Culture of Women for an Eco-Sustainable Cultivation
The Soroptimist C&C+C Badge was awarded in October 2025 to the agricultural company of Cristina Armato, which has been present in the territory for five generations and is dedicated to olive cultivation. The Club Imperia has “adopted” a female-led company that skillfully combines tradition, innovation, and deep regional roots.
In Cristina’s company, there is no waste — everything is reused: production scraps are recycled, the pits are used as fuel, and the “skins” serve as fertilizer.

Manuela Vigo.
Our Cultivar Taggiasca – Devia line extra virgin olive oil made it to the finals.
What can we say?
A great emotion, as always.
